Challenge

For building materials manufacturers, loyalty programs are one of the key ways to retain professional builders, foremen, and contractors. In practice, however, such systems are often inconvenient and lack transparency.

To receive bonuses for purchasing materials, builders have to collect receipts, manually submit information to managers, or rely on offline processes. This creates several problems at once: the process is time-consuming, users do not fully understand how bonuses are calculated, and businesses struggle to control the integrity of transactions.

The specifics of the construction industry create additional challenges. Materials pass through warehouses, contractors, and multiple construction sites, which significantly increases the risk of fraud. For example, products may be registered before they have actually been delivered to a construction site.

Docke wanted more than just a cashback mobile app. The company aimed to create a comprehensive digital loyalty platform for professional builders—one that would be convenient for users while remaining secure and transparent for the business.

What We Did

We started by designing the system logic and user journeys. The goal was to make site registration, bonus accrual, and withdrawals as simple as possible for builders while ensuring transparency and protection against fraud.

Within the application, users create an account, register a construction site, upload photos, and specify an address or geolocation. The information is then sent to a Docke manager for verification.

We also implemented support for multiple construction sites within a single account. Users can register foremen, assign them to different projects, and accumulate bonuses from all sites in one place.

A key feature of the system is product registration through DataMatrix code scanning. Once materials arrive at a construction site, users photograph the products and scan the DataMatrix codes through the application. Docke managers can then verify the information—for example, whether the number of pallets shown in the photo matches the number of scanned products.

The biggest challenge of the project was fraud prevention. In the construction industry, it is essential to prevent fraudulent bonus accrual—for instance, when someone attempts to scan products while they are still in a warehouse or during transportation.

To address this issue, we implemented a geofencing mechanism. Products can only be registered directly at a construction site, within a radius of 150 meters from the specified location.

At the same time, we had to take real working conditions into account. Many construction sites are located in areas with poor or no internet connectivity. Therefore, we introduced an offline mode: users can scan products without an internet connection, and the application stores the data locally. As soon as connectivity is restored, the app offers to upload the information to the server together with the geolocation of the scanning point.

Special attention was also paid to withdrawal security. To receive bonuses, users submit a request through the app and provide passport details, tax identification number, and bank card information. After verification, the funds are transferred to their account.

As a result, we created not just a mobile application, but a complete digital infrastructure connecting the manufacturer, construction companies, and foremen.

Results

The application became a new digital communication channel between Docke and professional builders and contractors.

Users gained access to a convenient site registration system, a transparent bonus accrual mechanism, and the ability to manage multiple construction projects within a single account.

For the business, this meant a more controlled and secure loyalty system, enabling product tracking, verification of bonus accruals, and a significant reduction in fraud risks.

Despite the absence of a large-scale marketing campaign, the application achieved the highest possible rating — 5.0 across all app stores.

This proved that users appreciated the convenience, transparency, and reliability of the service.
